I focus on creating positive change in the Trajectory of individuals, couples and families with Mood and Substance Use Disorders

I offer counseling and psychotherapy services for teenagers, adults, couples, and families. This includes individual therapy and couples counseling for those facing challenges in their relationships across various aspects of life. Additionally, I assist individuals and families in navigating the challenges associated with problematic behaviors whether due to substance use and/or mood disorders. I assist families returning to function, re-engaging with one another with improved trust and communication.

Building rapport, trust, and empathy in our therapeutic relationship is essential for addressing my clients' needs.

When we encounter persistent problems, experience crises, or face unexpected traumatic events, it can feel like our lives are falling apart. My goal is to help you find understanding and foster a sense of hope, confidence, and purposeful direction in your life and relationships.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a collaborative process between a therapist and the individual seeking support. You might want to overcome challenges, develop life skills to navigate difficult situations, make healthier choices, change negative patterns of thinking that do not serve you or enhance your overall quality of life. Many people turn to therapy for assistance with issues that can be difficult to tackle on their own and often continue sessions for ongoing personal growth.

Couples Therapy

Couples counseling brings people who have an intimate relationship into the treatment process to work on issues and increase their connection. This can include family members, business partners, and couples, often focusing on the challenges within the relationship such as communicating more effectively, improving trust, and mutual respect for each other.  

Family Therapy

Family counseling involves parents, siblings, and extended family members, in the therapeutic process. Internal Family Systems helps us understand how roles within our family of origin impact our current relationships. Every family system has its unique structure and communication patterns, influenced by factors like parenting styles, personalities, and other dynamics.

Co-Occurring Disorders

Individuals with co-occurring disorders (Mood and Substance use Disorders) experience improved treatment outcomes when they receive evidence-based practices and integrates all components of a treatment plan, including psychological, pharmacological, educational, and social interventions. Specialized forms of treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) applied in an integrated approach supports long-term abstinence and emotional balance.

Trauma Treatment

Trauma treatment is an approach to engage people with their history of trauma, recognize the presence of trauma symptoms, and acknowledge the role that trauma has played in their lives. It is grounded in a thorough understanding of the neurological, biological, psychological, and social effects of trauma — its impact, interpersonal dynamic, and paths to recovery. in navigating the challenges associated with problematic behaviors whether due to substance use and/or mood disorders. I assist families returning to function, re-engaging with one another with improved trust and communication.

With over 40 years of Consulting experience, I focus on Academic Consulting for application support to Fortune 500 Career Counseling, I can offer multiple evidence-based assessments to identify your innate natural strengths and create clear career paths for future success by cultivating growth within.

Rates and Policies

  • I work with individuals, couples and families to support out of network reimbursement. This is uniquely dependent on your individual insurance plan. I will provide a monthly invoice for you to submit to your insurance company using the DSM-V-TR diagnosis and CPT-10 codes.

  • Please email me for rates. I offer 50-minute, 75-minute and 90-minute sessions and can offer longer sessions for intensive work of 3-hour blocks.

  • Please provide 48-hour notice of cancellations. Cancellations made within less than 48 hours and all missed appointments will be charged the full amount of the appointment. If you are running late, please call or text.

  • Cash, Check, and Zelle are accepted for all services.

    Payment for services is due in advance of the first intake appointment and then required at the end of each session unless alternate arrangements have been made. 

  • Coordinated care with other services providers can be provided after you have completed a release of information for authorization. I work closely with medical and mental health professionals to support your treatment.
